Corn
US corn sales for 2024/25 were reported at 1.66 million tonnes in the week to January 16, up by 62% from the previous week and up by 68% from the prior four-week average, landing within the US Department of Agriculture’s expected range of 700,000-1.7 million tonnes, USDA data showed on Friday January 24.

Much of the increase came from South Korea (462,100 tonnes), Taiwan (277,500 tonnes), Japan (249,500 tonnes), Mexico (237,600 tonnes) and Spain (205,100 tonnes).

These gains were partly offset by reductions for unknown destinations (111,300 tonnes) and Guatemala (13,900 tonnes).

The accumulated export commitments reached 183.7% of the USDA forecast.

Export sales for the 2025/26 crop season totaled 9,200 tonnes for Mexico (5,100 tonnes), Japan (3,900 tonnes) and China (200 tonnes).
