Central Illinois weekly soybean, soyoil, soymeal prices fall

In the week to Friday January 31, the soybean crush margin in Central Illinois decreased by 4% week on week and by 5% year on year, according to the USDA’s National Weekly Grain Co-Products Report released on Monday February 3.

In the week to Friday, soybean meal prices fell to $310.30 per short ton, down by 3% week on week from $320.90 per ton and by 18% year on year.

Soybean prices decreased to $10.40 per bushel, down by 1.5% week on week from $10.56 per bu and by 14% from a year earlier.

Soybean oil prices dropped to 44.48 cents per lb, down by 0.1% week on week from 44.54 cents per lb and by 4% year on year.

The decline in soybean, soybean meal and soybean oil prices led to a crush margin of $2.06 per bu, down by 4 cents per bu compared with the six-week average of $2.10 per bu.
