US weekly average ethanol production fell from a two-month high to 1.082 million barrels per day in the week to February 7, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report released on Wednesday February 12. This marked a decrease of 30,000 bpd from the previous week and down by 1% year on year.

Ethanol stocks decreased to 25.692 million barrels, down by 720,000 barrels week on week and down by 0.5% year on year.

Demand for corn decreased by 2.7% from the previous week and by 1% year on year. Approximately 16.03 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.

Livestock feed production totaled 115,707 tonnes in the week to Friday. Distillers’ dried grain with solubles (DDGS) production was 102,907 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 10,800 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,000 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
