US net soybean meal and soybean cake sales and exports were both down in the week to February 6, data released on Thursday February 13 showed, after ascending to fresh marketing-year highs the week prior.
Domestic soybean meal sales for 2024/25 were down by nearly 37% week on week but up by 4% from the four-week average to 336,700 tonnes. This was within wider market estimates and compared with 530,600 tonnes of sales previously.
Sales increases were recorded for Colombia (87,300 tonnes, including 10,000 tonnes switched from unknown destinations and cancellations of 2,900 tonnes), unknown destinations (58,000 tonnes), Bangladesh (48,000 tonnes), the Dominican Republic (39,500 tonnes, including 17,000 tonnes switched from unknown destinations and cancellations of 800 tonnes) and Venezuela (30,000 tonnes).
The USDA groups undisclosed destinations under the umbrella term “unknown.”
