Ethanol & DDGS – Output Begins to Slow

According to the EIA’s Weekly Petroleum Status Report, ethanol production declined 30,000 barrels per day to a 1.05 billion-barrel-per-day average during the week ending Mar 20, 2020. Production is expected fall further as producers adjust to slowing gasoline demand during the Coronavirus pandemic. DDGS output fell 2.9 percent for the week but is 3.1 percent over levels posted for the same period last year.
