Limited Trading on Limited Production

Three cars of technical tallow traded steady at Chicago pricing today. Six trucks of edible tallow traded at the equivalent of $0.4700 Chicago today, outside of the Chicago market. BFT was quiet with reports of limited interest and very limited offerings. Choice white grease was offered a penny lower into the Chicago market. There may be some additional choice white showing up into the market via hog euthanizations. The material may differ slightly in quality, not better or worse, but different to the whole hog constituency of the material rather than trim and offal. Both hog and cattle slaughter continue to run at reduced rates, through today both hog and cattle are off 40 percent for the week relative to a year ago.
