Spot organic corn prices remain soft as organic chicken feed demand has temporarily eased. Producers are putting their feed needs temporarily on hold as slaughterhouses recover from closeures due to COVID-19. Slaughterhouses are in the process of disinfecting plants and revamping operations to provide a safer working environment. Organic chicken slaughter tumbled in early April, dropping nearly 30% but has rebounded about 50% of the losses over the past 5-weeks.
