Hog and cattle slaughter continue to climb and the additional supplies have weighed on the bloodmeal markets this week. Porcine prices out of the IA/MO/NE market are off $75 compared to last week, ruminant prices out of the same market (Missouri River) are off $65. As production continues to increase and the demand side struggles with tight margins, it’s reasonable to expect prices to consolidate towards the lower end of the range in the near term.
