Down Pressure Continues In Protein Complex

Ruminant meat and bone meal prices moved lower into the Eastern market today. Increased production has placed pressure on the entire protein complex as a whole with feathermeal, meat and bone meal and bloodmeal prices all moving lower this week. Hog slaughter has averaged over 400,000 head per day today and yesterday, a sign that the market is getting closer to historical norms in terms of production.
