Slower demand and cheaper soybean meal prices have pressured the meat and bone meal markets lower into China and Indonesia this week. Trading into the broader southeast Asian market was indicated lower as well, $450 – 460 CIF Malaysia, Vietnam and Taiwan.

Australian and New Zealand MBM prices are lower this week, driven by lower prices into the importing countries and improved production. Cattle slaughter is up in both countries, up 2 percent in Australia relative to the week prior. The MLA reported Eastern State slaughter at 125,720 head. The additional supply has pushed bloodmeal prices lower in both countries as well.
