Bleachable Fancy Tallow (BFT) was offered lower through the Chicago market today for both render and packer material. As of press time no trading or bids have been reported. The increase in cattle slaughter is adding extra material to the market and some slowdowns on the demand-side have contributed to weaker numbers.

Ethanol production was up again last week, estimated at 765,000 barrels per day by the EIA. Gasoline demand was up as well hitting a near term high of 317.1 million gallons last week. Distillers corn oil production at 7.3 million pounds per day was up 5.6% relative to the week prior and down 26% compared to the prior three year average. The additional supply…
