Cotton Crop Conditions Shift Lower

 

Crop Progress – Corn Conditions Improve; Beans, Cotton, and Peanuts Slide Lower 

Corn:

  • 100 percent emerged
  • 2percent Silking
  • 72percent good to excellent; 5 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop has fully emerged, and two percent of the crop has reached the silking stage. Crop conditions improved slightly on the national level. 72 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent, a one-point improvement from last week.  5 percent of the crop is rated poor to very poor, unchanged from a week ago. On a state level, Colorado and Missouri saw the most improvement in crop condition. This year’s crop compares favorably to last year’s ratings of 68 percent good to excellent and 12 percent poor to very poor.
