Crop Conditions Rally on Beneficial Weather

Corn:

  • 82 percent silking
  • 22 percent dough
  • 72 percent good to excellent; 7 percent poor to very poor

The corn crop has climbed to 82 percent of the fields has reaching the silking stage and 22 percent in the dough stage. Crop conditions benefited from good weather conditions over the past week. Fields rated good to excellent advance three points to 72 percent and declined by a point to seven percent in the poor to very poor category. On a state level, Illinois saw a 17 percent increase in crops rated good to excellent.  Indiana and Kansas were both up more than 10 percent, but Iowa fell by 3.5 percent.
