The estimated crush margin improved 14 percent as the cost of soybeans declined while the revenue streams increased. The value received from oil and meal sales per bushel of soybeans crushed moved from $10.28 to $10.34 per bushel while the price of soybeans fell 12 cents to $8.90 per bushel. The margin expanded 18 cents to $1.44 per bushel. Soybean prices are six percent higher compared to a year ago and oil values are nine percent over last year, but meal prices are down two percent. The crush margin is 18 percent below levels seen at this time last year.
