Organic Corn Prices Continue to Face Headwinds

 

Organic corn prices ahead of the new crop continue to ease. It does not appear that organic corn is in high demand and most consumers are covered. Bids are coming in near $6/6.25 per bushel mid-west picked up at the farm. Merchandisers are saying that $6.50 could get some small trades done for the farmer that is looking to relieve some storage space. With a bumper crop expected, organic corn prices could continue to remain under pressure, even into the new crop season. Prices have a carry, and few farmers are willing to trade below $7 per bushel mid-west picked up at the farm.

Organic Food Grade Corn Demand Remains Upbeat
