Weekly LCFS Volume Rises but Remains 56% Below Avg

 

LCFS Credit Volume Climbs,  Average Price Slips Lower

Weekly credit volume of 158,738 was up 56,470 credits from last week but 56 percent below the 2020 average if 361,728. Volume increased 55 percent for the week but was 34 percent below last year’s volume for the same period.  The average price paid per credit declined $0.93 to $199.39. There were 17 transactions, six percent were type 1 transfers of 53,738 credits and 11 were type 2 transfers of 105,000 credits. Type 1 transactions are executed within 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 2 transactions are executed beyond 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 1 transactions may give a better indication of current market conditions since Type 2 transactions do not provide a date the agreement was entered into.
