LCFS Transactions Fall 44% Below 2020 Weekly Average

 

LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity 

Weekly credit volume of 199,892 was 147,504 credits below last week’s volume and 44 percent below the 2020 weekly average of 356,694. Volume fell 42 percent for the week and was 8.5 percent under last year’s volume for the same period.  The average price paid per credit increased $2.20 to $194.79. There were 31 transactions, 58 percent were type 1 transfers of 114,972 credits and 14 were type 2 transfers of 84,920 credits. Type 1 transactions are executed within 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 2 transactions are executed beyond 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 1 transactions may give a better indication of current market conditions since Type 2 transactions do not provide a date the agreement was entered into.
