Ruminant Bloodmeal Prices Up 5 Percent Week on Week

Friday Publication Hours In Effect & Holiday Close

The Jacobsen will close trade at 12 pm CT tomorrow and publish the Animal Proteins Bulletin shortly after. We will resume our Sep – May Friday trading hours next week with Friday’s close on September 11th moving up to 3 pm CT.

The Jacobsen offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

The protein market was very quiet this afternoon ahead of the long, holiday break. Market dynamics remain the same, holiday tightness has given the market a boost but supply increases post holiday in the porcine sector threaten the longevity of any rally.

Ruminant bloodmeal prices are up $25 ton compared to last week. Again, the holiday tightness has helped push values higher this week. Class III milk futures continue to trade at strong levels, the October contract closed slightly lower today at $18.96, but is up…
