Organic soybean meal prices in India are rising, but the increase might not be enough for US domestic organic soybean crushers. Prices are quoted at $640 per metric ton FOB India for the November through January period. This should put organic soybean meal prices near $705 customs cleared in Baltimore. That would equate to $750 in South Central PA and imported meal near $775 per short-ton in the mid-west.

The Jacobsen has heard of a wide range of prices for organic soybean meal as well as a very wide range of organic soybean oil prices. Prices in the east have traded at $0.60 per pound, but cannot find a home in the mid-west for better than $0.45 per pound. Domestic and imported meal prices are also bifurcating.
