The LCFS Credit Transactions Surge 42% over 2020 Weekly Avg

 

LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity 

Weekly credit volume of 530,010 was up 179,728 credits from last week and 48 percent above the 2020 average if 357,576. Volume increased 51 percent for the week and was 40 percent over last year’s volume for the same period.  The average price paid per credit increased $0.36 to $196.08. There were 34 transactions, five percent were type 1 transfers of 53,888 credits and 23 were type 2 transfers of 476,122 credits. Type 1 transactions are executed within 10 days of an agreement. Type 2 transactions are executed beyond 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 1 transactions may give a better indication of current market conditions since Type 2 transactions do not provide a date the agreement was entered into.
