Choice white grease prices continued to tumble today, with lower prices reported out of the Missouri River market. BFT traded in light volume at steady prices on a Chicago basis.
Yellow grease prices were sideways with trading done at steady FOB Missouri River and out of the Illinois markets.
Over the last three years, choice white grease has averaged a premium of 1.25 cents over yellow grease for the Missouri River market. The current spread of 3.5 cents suggests that yellow grease prices are due for a move higher.
