Soybean and Corn Harvest Near Completion

 

Crop Progress  – 13.4 Billion Bushels of Corn & 3.9 Billion Bushels of Soybeans Harvested

Corn:

  • 91 percent harvested

The corn harvest is 91 percent complete, up nine points from last week and 11 points over the five-year average of 80 percent. According to the USDA’s October WASDE report, 14.72 billion bushels of corn are expected to be harvested.  With the harvest 91 percent complete, 13.4 billion bushels have been harvested and 1.3 billion are still in the fields.  Favorable weather has allowed 14 of 18 reporting states to be at or ahead of their historical harvest pace.  North Dakota leads the pack by outpacing the historical norm by 33 points.
