Price direction in the animal fat market was mostly sideways today. Six cars of edible tallow traded steady at 36 cents Chicago. Technical tallow was last offered at the equivalent of 35 Chicago for January, but thus far the market has been quiet.

Choice white grease prices did move higher today with 10 trucks seen at the top end of the range. At 29 FOB, choice white may start to get a bit toppy with BFT trading at 29.5 cents FOB Missouri River. Yellow grease prices are up out of the Illinois and Mo. River markets today as well, pulled higher by limited supply and the stronger choice white grease market.

Distillers corn oil trading has been mostly quiet this week, but values are lower out of the Illinois and Mo. River markets on scattered volume.
