Renderer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT-R) prices moved higher today on a bid to buy multiple rail cars for shipment within the 30-day window. Sellers passed on the higher offer, making it reasonable to think buyers will have to pay higher prices to secure material. Yellow grease traded higher out of the Illinois market this afternoon.

Hog slaughter finished last week at an estimated 2.76 million head, down 0.4 percent from year prior levels.
