Organic corn in the Pennsylvania region is steady at $9.50/$9.60 per bushel or $340/$350 per short-ton. Transportation costs throughout the United States have picked up. Gasoline and diesel prices have also increased, making it more challenging to achieve the desired price. Diesel prices have increased 18% on average since the beginning of December and nearly 11% since the beginning of January. The rally in the conventional grain space has also buoyed gasoline and diesel prices, as they are used as additives in the form of ethanol and biodiesel.
