Ethanol & DDGS Output Consolidates as Margins Narrow
Ethanol production increased 1,000 barrels per day to a 937 thousand-barrel-per-day average during the week ending February 5, 2021. DDGS and Ethanol volumes continue to consolidate as plants head into planned maintenance season. Weekly ethanol output edged fractionally higher but was 9.3 percent below levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output also edged higher but was 10,231 MT’s per day below production from a year ago.
Gasoline supply increased 1.1 percent but was 10 percent below 2020 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks declined two percent to 23.8 million barrels, pulling back from the 39-week high reached a week ago.
