Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
According to the Energy Information Agency (EIA), the United States imported 52.4 million gallons of biomass-based diesel (D4) during December. Imports were 14 percent over November and 12 percent above December 2019. For the year, imports totaled 476 million gallons and are 12 percent above the amount received during 2019.
