Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Porcine blood meal prices moved lower this week. A wide spread between porcine and ruminant blood meal is likely driving the downward pressure in the porcine market. The IA/MO/NE porcine blood meal is currently trading at a $100 premium to the Mo. River ruminant blood meal.
