Tight supplies coming out of the holiday-shortened week have contributed to higher prices in the poultry fat market. Prices were up 1 – 2 cents across the board today as buyers pay up to secure material, both end users and some covering in shorts. The relative price of Mid South poultry fat to corn shot up to 432 percent in March, 45 points over the prior three year average.
