Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Packer grade bleachable fancy tallow and choice white grease both traded lower on a Chicago basis this afternoon. The CWG trade was done in five cars, the BFT trade was for three cars. Renderer BFT traded higher, up two cents from the last traded level. Trucks of choice white grease traded in limited volume, anywhere from 43.5 – 50.5 FOB Mo. River. Buying ideas from the biodiesel side of the market are lower than two weeks prior and there is a push for sub-50 delivered values.
