LCFS Credit Volume Slows Following End of Quarterly Reporting

 

LCFS Credit Volume Down 37% Week Over Week; 54% over 2021 Weekly average

Weekly LCFS credit volume of 821,387 was 37 percent below last week’s volume but 54 percent over the 2021 weekly average of 534,702.  Credit volume was the 10th largest weekly total on record, following last week’s record total of 1.31 million. Second quarter volume is 107 percent over first quarter volume (two-week comparison) and 92 percent above Q2 of 2020. The average price paid per credit declined $4.36 to $192.92. Of the 100 transactions during the week, eight percent were type 1 transfers of 67,207 credits and 92 percent were type 2 transfers totaling 754,180. Type 1 transactions are executed within 10 days of an agreement. Type 2 transactions are executed beyond 10 days of a transfer agreement. Type 1 transactions may give a more accurate indication…
