Cattle Harvest Forecast to Rebound Ahead of July 4 Holiday Break

The long holiday weekend put an expected cut into the cattle harvest numbers last week and the downtime at JBS further exacerbated the production cuts. Slaughter fell to an estimated 538,000 head last week, down 14.5 percent from the week prior. Production is expected to pick back up this week.
