Lower Weekly Ethanol Production Dents DDGS Supply

 

DDGS Output Slows as Ethanol Margins Slide 

Weekly ethanol production came in below analyst expectations while ethanol stocks were above forecast in this week’s Weekly Petroleum Status Report.  Ethanol output declined 12 thousand barrels to a 1.025 million-barrel-per-day average during the week ending June 11, 2021.  Production was below analysts’ forecast that expected output to land within the 1.040-to-1.077-million-barrel range. The average analyst estimate was 1.059 million barrels. Weekly ethanol output was 3.9 percent below last week but 22 percent over levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output fell 3,995 metric tons per day from last week but was 17,500 MT’s per day over production from a year ago.
