LCFS Weekly Credit Transfer Activity – Average Credit Price Back over $190

LCFS credit volume surged to a 14-week high during the week ending July 25th.  Weekly volume of 749,645 was 289 percent over the prior week and 58 percent above the 2021 weekly average of 473,750.  Despite the rise in weekly volume, third quarter volume is 46 percent below second quarter volume and 12 percent below Q3 of 2020. There were 55 transactions last week, up from 26 the week before. The weighted average price paid per credit increased $6.88 to $190.27, a four-week high. Of the 55 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 83,245 credits and Type 2 transfers 666,400 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 25 percent of the transactions and 11 percent of the volume.
