Trading out of the Australian and New Zealand markets is higher on limited supply and strong demand from the renewable sector. The typical season tightness is exacerbated by the herd rebuilding current underway in Australia. The MLA estimated cattle slaughter at 93,480 head. Prices remain out of line with palm, but strong renewable demand and a move by some to limit palm derivative usage has boosted prices to new highs.
