Organic Soybean Meal CVD Duty Announced

 

On September 3, 2021, The Federal Register printed the CVD subsidies in the first step of the Department of Commerce’s investigation into the Antidumping of organic soybean meal into the United States. There was a range of duties, which cover those who responded to the inquires and those who did not. The Department of Commerce preliminarily determines that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of organic soybean meal from India. The period of investigation is January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020. The DOC invites interested parties are invited to comment on this preliminary determination.

The U.S. Commerce Department announced on Thursday that the Department is conducting this investigation per section 701 of the Act. For each of the subsidy programs found countervailable, Commerce preliminarily determines that there is a subsidy. The Commerce Department will focus on individual companies.
