Ethanol & DDGS Production Hits Four-Week High

 

Ethanol and DDGS Output Moves Higher while Stocks Continue Lower 

Weekly ethanol production increased for the second time in as many weeks, lifting output off lows not seen since February, while stocks continued lower for a seventh consecutive week. Ethanol output climbed 14 thousand barrels to a 937 thousand-barrel-per-day average during the week ending September 10, 2021. The production increase was above analyst’s outlook, which called for production to hold steady from the week prior. Ethanol output was 1.5 percent above last week and 1.2 percent over levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output increased by 1,332 metric tons (MT) per day for the week and was 1,046 over production from a year ago.

Gasoline supply dropped 7.5 percent from last week but was 4.9 percent over 2020 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks…
