LCFS – Spot Market Credit Prices Continue to Foreshadow Lower Prices

LCFS credit volume rebounded last week, hitting a five-week high of 618,108.  Ninety four percent of the weekly transactions were Type 2 transactions, which have an unconfirmed date range but are outside the 10-day transaction window between the time an agreement is made and executed.  Weekly volume of 618,108 was noticeably above the prior week and 37 percent over the 2021 weekly average of 449,861.  Fourth quarter volume is 64 percent over third quarter volume and 61 percent above Q4 of 2020.
