Meat and Bonemeal Ratio to Soybean Meal Declines

Negative price pressure continued on the ruminant meat and bonemeal front amid logistical strains, reports of lessened export demand, ample offering levels at some locations, and lower pork meat and bonemeal pricing. A  low of $130/ST was reported and confirmed on the Mo. River for ruminant meat and bonemeal while the Eastern rail delivered market was down $15 to $265/ST. Illinois renderer also traded down with lows of $140/ST noted. In other markets, poultry bloodmeal traded in a wide range with a high of $775/ST and a low of $550/ST, in limited quantities.  The majority of trading sits between the current set ranges.

Since the first week in January, a downward trend is witnessed on soybean meal, with a decrease of $65.78/ST as of the last week in November. However, mid-October witnessed renewed demand on heightened export movement, increasing weekly pricing for soybean meal 14.9 percent to $361.50 in just a month in a half.
