U.S. Weekly Ethanol Production Edges Higher, Stocks Fall

Total U.S. ethanol production edged higher while stocks dropped during the week ending December 24, data released December 29, 2021, from the U.S. EIA showed. Output rose less than one percent, or 8,000 barrels per day, to 1.059 million b/d, from 1.051 b/d the week prior. Ethanol production in the largest producing region of the Midwest rose to 1.0 million b/d, up from 991,000 b/d the week before.
