Organic Cracked Corn Imports Rise

 

Organic cracked corn imports continue to make their way into the United States in December. The vessel “The Amazon” delivered bulk shipments of organic cracked corn to Morehead City, North Carolina, and Gramercy, LA. The strong demand for organic cracked corn in Texas is helping to soak up these deliveries. All of the organic cracked corn that entered the United States in December comes from Giresun, Turkey.

Organic cracked corn arrived in each month in Q4, which was the same case in 2020. Organic cracked corn imports into the United States in December were up 52% year over year, but for the quarter, organic cracked corn imports were up only 2% year over year.
