The Central Illinois crush margin followed soybean oil prices higher during the week ending November 25, 2021. The value received from oil and meal sales per bushel of soybeans crushed increased from $18.96 per bushel to $19.93, while soybean prices slipped from $16.08 to $15.95 cents per bushel. This allowed the margin to expand $1.00 to $3.98 per bushel, a six-week high. The crush margin is 38 percent over the week prior and 153 percent above year ago levels.
Soybean, soybean meal, and soybean oil prices remain well supported and promoting strong margin potential for crushing. Tight supply and solid export demand have helped support the soybean complex.
