CME Volatility Leads to Lower Soybean Crush

Market Update

The start of the week saw lingering volatility due to the continued conflict between Ukraine and Russia. May wheat futures hit limit up early in the day again for the fourth work day in a row, up by ₵85.00 to $12.94, May corn futures were lower ₵3.50 to $7.50, May soybeans dropped ₵1.00 to $16.59, and May soybean meal was lower by $1.70 to $458.70.

DDGs reports come higher pricing again in the market with late day trading from Friday afternoon. Pricing in Iowa and Channahon, Illinois regions moved higher today, though wide ranges remain noted due to increased unpredictability. 

Centrail ILL. Crush Lower by 14.8 Percent

The Central Illinois crush margin declined after last week’s climb, showing a week-on-week decrease of 14.8 percent.
