DCO Prices Soar as April ULSD Skyrockets

Ultra low sulfur diesel/heating oil prices settled at $4.4373/gal for April futures today at the CME, up just over 51.5 cents/gal on the day. Prices were up from the start of trading this morning and distillers corn oil traded as high as 91.25 del US Gulf, supported partially by the higher prices. Trading was done in a range of 82 – 85 FOB most locations with action out of the Mo. River as high as 88 FOB. Choice white grease prices were higher today, but on limited volume. Low acid poultry fat was sharply on higher on tight supplies and strong end user demand. Stabilized poultry fat was higher as well, but to much less of a degree.

It’s reasonable to expect most of the trading to be pushed to the second half of the week while buyers and sellers try to wait out the volatility at the exchanges and digest tomorrows WASDE report. There remains a concern that the Biden…
