Record High Yellow Grease/UCO Exports in January

Packer BFT traded lower on a Chicago basis this afternoon after higher offers went untraded on Friday, yesterday and again this morning. CWG traded at 71 Chicago, up 1.5 cents/lb from the last traded level.

Poultry fat prices were higher this afternoon as sellers continue to push to close the gap to other products in the animal fat market.

Distiller’s corn oil prices were lower today, following the heating and crude oil markets. Sources have reported that bids from renewable producers are lower and that at least one major producer is out of the market for the near term. The demand destruction combined with the lower energy prices has forced prices lower.

Used cooking oil is lower into the Gulf market, but prices did trade higher into the Atlantic Seaboard and Southeast markets. Light volume was reported as low as 67 cts/lb del into the Northeast.
