Bloodmeal Market Moves Higher

Bloodmeal Market Moves Higher

Porcine bloodmeal was indicated as high as $1300/st on Indiana, Mo. River, and the Mid-Atlantic. The majority of trade at this level could not be confirmed at press time at $1300/st for Mo. River. The bulk of trade in all three published regions for porcine bloodmeal moved higher on accounts of brisk interest and limited offering levels. Ruminant bloodmeal moved up as well, with a high of $1075/st reported on Mo. River. Wide ranges were witnessed on Mo. River ruminant bloodmeal with a range of $900-1025/st. Due to higher values on meat and bonemeal as well as bloodmeal, several participants have reported reformulations for the start of May along with ration adjustments fluctuating, based on the animal being fed.
