Pushback on Several Protein Items on Soymeal Pressure

Contacts called the animal protein market unsettled for Wednesday on accounts of limited trade and several participants on vacation following the holiday weekend. Light volume continued to be witnessed inside and outside the set ranges due to hand-to-mouth needs at the end of May.

Pressure was indicated for meat and bonemeal, bloodmeal, feathermeal at the high end of the range. This has tightened several regions for each item and dropped the high end for all three for the week. The continued depression of the soy complex has led to a higher relative value to soymeal on several proteins, creating buyer hesitation and pushback.
