Soybean Meal Export Sales Plunge, Soybeans Remain Strong

Soybean Meal Export Sales Plunge, Soybeans Remain Strong

Market Update

Corn gluten products had limited trading activity Thursday. Corn gluten meal remained steady for the day, though some range adjustments were reported for corn gluten feed. Pressure on corn gluten products has been constant and many anticipate it will continue in the near term.

CME grain pricing levels were higher for most grains, except soymeal which dropped $1.20 to $404.00/st. Corn rose $0.0600 to $6.10/st due to possible rain across the Midwest, which will likely benefit developing crops. Soybeans saw some minor gains of $0.0250, rising to $13.63/st, possibly due to a rebound in Chinese soybean demand. While wheat increased $0.0950, reaching $6.26/st.
