Soybean Oil Market Continues to Pressure Fats, DCO Higher

Soybean Oil Market Continues to Pressure Fats, DCO Higher

The market was fairly active for a Monday with choice white grease (CWG) trading higher out of the Missouri River market and distiller’s corn oil (DCO) indications higher.

Sources indicated that there are a few buyers short of nearby material and they have been willing to pay higher prices for CWG, especially with soybean oil prices continuing to skyrocket and basis levels not dropping enough to offset the rapid increases in the futures market.

DCO offers were heard as high as 72 today on FOB basis, but trading was not done that high as of publication time. Again, sellers are pushing for higher prices on the back of higher soybean oil prices.
