Bovine meat and bonemeal were higher in Australia due to the slight firming of soybean meal this past week, though wider ranges with limited trade were indicated. Heightened slaughter for the region has weighed on the market for most of the year, but the persistent ebb and flow of soybean meal has led to varied tones. A low of AU$710/mt delivered was reported in Australia but could not be confirmed as of press time. A high of AU$820/mt delivered was reported in Australia. New Zealand held above Australia on bovine meat and bonemeal, at NZ$840-850/mt, due to accounts of tighter offerings from lighter slaughter in the winter season. A quiet tone for both regions was indicated, similar to the U.S. domestic markets due to the heightened unease.
